You don’t need a large budget to get creative, high-quality business cards, either. If a potential client asks for a business card and you have to scribble your name and number on a napkin, the chances of that person calling you is very slim (happens often when you are trying to balance freelancing with a full-time job). Carrying your contact information with you at all times is essential because you never know who you will meet when you’re networking, visiting clients, or even working at Starbucks. No business or freelancer can call themselves professional if they don’t have business cards (I suppose, in the same way if you are not using small business invoicing software by now).
