Also other drummers have their fun on my drum set. But after reading and testing and knowing the functions it´s fun to use it. It´s not like connecting the cables and everything works. If you buy an e-drum you will also need to read the manual, do the calibrations, learn the way the drum-brain like a TD-12 or whate ever you will buy reacts. The Roland cymbals have 2 zones, I think from recalling, you can also do the crescendo thing, but you have to know how. With real cymbals you have much more variation. And these are working and feeling really great. In my opinion the feel of the snare, kick and toms are great. Some will play it and have decided not to like it, before they even played it. I think it depends a lot in which attitude someone sits behind an e-drum. I try to find the best words in english, which is a bit hard. Much appreciated I have no knowledge in this dept. At what point are you wasting money on very little improvement between models? Is there anything better than the V Drums if the built in samples are of no importance, and you just want to feel like you are playing real drums? I understand that no E-drums will ever feel just like real drums, but she wants to invest in a set, she has made her mind up, and her only concern is realistic feel. So my question is if anyone knowledgeable about electronic drums could describe to me the best actual value in the field for this purpose. Looking at the different models, the difference between the top of the line ones and the ones $3,000 cheaper doesn't look very different in terms of physical construction, but moreso difference in the brain and velocity triggering of internal samples. What she really wants is something that feels as close as possible to real drums just to use to trigger MIDI/Samples. But here's the deal - She doesn't care about the internal sounds or any fancy bells and whistles. Quick question on behalf of my girlfriend - She has been considering getting the top of the line set of Roland V-Drums for a while now, and I cant help feeling like they are kind of gimmicky and not worth the money.
